Winter fishing recap
I wanted to write a quick post about our fishing this winter - it has been far less than what I would have hoped for! We had a couple of small bonnethead sharks and even a little blacktip on the last time we went out but that's about it.
Lately there has been some weird red tide in SWFL and its not so much killing the fish, but killing my desire to be there because I start coughing whenever I go to the beach! Bleh! Hopefully that goes away within the next week. So as far as beach fishing goes we have not been doing much recently.
However, I am SUPER excited for next month! We are participating in our first fishing tournament! My husband's cousin, Christopher is hosting a Snook tournament - the 1st annual SW FL Spring Classic. There will be drinks, raffles, and prize money for the longest Snook caught. I love how Chris is allowing anglers to launch from eight different locations, it should make for a really fun and interesting contest!
I don't think it's too late to register, so check out the link below if you are interested!
